Answers to the Questions that Phoenix asked me:

Name any 3-5 lines or dialogues from books/movies that you found fascinating??

“It may be unfair, but what happens in a few days, sometimes even a single day, can change the course of a whole lifetime…”
― Khaled Hosseini, The Kite Runner

BTW, just to give you a context about me, I am a movie buff I can watch any genre of movies and same with the books I read. When this lockdown started, I was sure this was one thing I won’t miss is watching movies. Though I wanted to read the book because of the situation, I preferred the movie.

This particular phrase was just stuck with me, and it is so relatable. And I am sure it will relate to everyone right now as the COVID-19 situation came it’s just a matter of a few days but it will surely affect our lifetime.

2. What animal would you describe yourself and why?

My favorite animal is a panda. This the most free-spirited animal and love worthy. Also, whenever you see them no matter what you feel you are relaxed in that particular moment. I am a free-spirited person who likes to do things in my way. Someday I would have the charm of the panda where if someone sees me they would feel relaxed.

3. What is your take about Politics?

The criticism part is not what I am OK with. Apart from corrupt politicians if we see there are some who are there and trying to bring a change. I have hope in politics as this is the system we ourselves have created, so if you don’t find it up to the mark I think one should get into the dirt to clean it. I strongly feel present-day youth should participate in politics or if not participating at least start getting involved and we know things, jargon or lingo used by these politicians.
4. Name three interesting or mind-blowing things that had happened in your life.

  • I had just completed my 12th standard examination and I was preparing for an architecture entrance exam. For some help, I went to a professor (architecture college professor) first of all he didn’t help me and on top of that, he guided me to not choose architecture as my sketches were not up to the mark. just when I left the meeting and I made a call to my dad and promised him that I would get into architecture in any case. and later on, I did get admission on merit basis in Mumbai university. later on, I realized the college I was studying in is one of the top 5 colleges in Mumbai.
  • While in my second year of architecture I was involved in competitions. These competitions allowed me to explore my potential where I use to stay awake for weeks, travel to an unknown location, talking, and interviewing people for analysis. Stayed with some friends who later became family. Now, this may sound quite basic to you but a person who has always stayed with his/her parents and never traveled much, this was a space in my past where I learned about my potentials.
  • Ever since my childhood, I was really fascinated by bikes. I use to and now also I watch MotoGP bike racing competitions.  Then I grew older and like everyone I started watching MTV Roadies because youth then were watching that. The main reason I was watching for the bike rides which I found really interesting. Then in August 2018, we went to Lonavala (150km from Mumbai) on a bike ride. It was a rainy day still we decided to continue the ride. And boy oh boy it was a lifetime experience. Those days I think I will never forget and will continue to cherish throughout my life.

Starting from left to right, that’s me, Atiq and Dhruv. Somewhere before Lonavala.

5. Do you or do you not like to have Expectations?

No, I don’t like to have expectations. I have this formula of life which I follow is I let life surprise me.
6. Describe your favorite author.

My favorite author is Ayn Rand. She is one with focus, determination, and discipline. Her ideas are still idealized. Her basic writing skill has so much in-depth knowledge of the character that when you read any novel you feel really involved, backed up with her philosophy it just amazing. In her own words, she explains her philosophy as, ” In essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute.”
7. When you joined the WordPress community, what were your thoughts? Did you have any expectations? Was there any specific reason why you chose blogging? (Apart from being passionate about writing)

I had this habit, (actually, I have it right now also) I use to start my design process by starting to write about it. Now, this habit of mine was identified by one of my professors he asked me to continue this and convert this in blogging. Frankly, my first impression of WordPress when I joined back in 2018 was I couldn’t understand a single thing and it was a bit difficult. Slowly and steadily I started learning about the dos and don’t about the website. Now, in 2020, after I started socializing in WordPress blogosphere I realized I could have been much more ahead in my writing career if I would have just asked for help to my fellow bloggers. ( JUST A PRO-TIP: IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND JUST ASK, SOMETIMES PEOPLE ARE SWEET, it’s JUST YOU ARE RESISTING.)

The reason I chose blogging is that in terms of writing I don’t want to write micro-content (twitter) and also I am too amateur to write a book. So, until I write my first book I am using blogging as my tool to sharpen my skills.

Thank You once again Aathmana, for nominating for this award. I am honored and feel blessed. Keep supporting.
